Software Quality Assurance Jobs

Software quality assurance specialists ensure that company software performs correctly and meets quality and performance requirements. The primary responsibility of a software quality assurance job holder is to design and execute software test plans and test cases, for example, devise test strategy for a variety of software, prepare test plans and document test results. Other important duties include auditing and monitoring software engineering processes and procedures, conducting process improvement and developing software quality assurance plans. A software quality assurance specialist also coordinates and consults with clients, management and staff regarding quality assurance and software and hardware implementation issues.

The minimum qualification required for a software quality assurance job is a bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar fields. Previous QA software testing experience is advantageous. The candidate should also possess strong computer (programming, Java, Linux, loadrunner, SQL server etc), communication and analytical skills.
