Quality Assurance Technician Jobs

A quality assurance technician works under the supervision of a quality assurance supervisor or manager to ensure that all products and services meet the safety, legal, consumer and quality standards. A quality assurance technician helps develop increased quality awareness while keeping in mind the current safety regulations and norms.

A quality assurance technician may work in different departments like customer service, engineering, healthcare, food inspection etc. The common responsibilities of the job are assisting in the development of standard operating procedures, helping in data collection, writing technical documentation, dealing successfully with problems involving product failure and ensuring compliance with quality procedures. A quality assurance technician working with machinery may also be required to inspect machines minutely and must be able to read blueprints and specifications.

To apply for a quality assurance technician job, the minimum qualification required is a bachelor’s degree in a science related field. Knowledge of FDA and state/federal regulations is important. Strong computer, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently are the other requirements of the job.
