POSITION OVERVIEW
Quality Management Generalist
The position of Quality Management Generalist helps to support the mission and work of the Northern Rivers Family of Services in aiding the children and families in crisis we serve by upholding the standards of quality and excellence held by our agency.
The Quality Management (QM) Generalist is responsible for performing highly confidential and sensitive QM tasks including but not limited to investigations into alleged incidents of client abuse and neglect, known or suspected occurrences of non-compliance and potential breaches of protected information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
Conduct internal investigations into
Allegations of abuse and/or neglect;
Known or suspected incidents of non-compliance with regulation, statute, policy or other business rules; and
Potential breaches of protected information including PHI as defined in HIPAA statute and PII as defined in the NYS SHIELD Act.
Investigations include but are not limited to coordinating and conducting interviews, collecting and evaluating evidence, completing investigation summaries for review and recommending and tracking the completion of corrective action.
Communication with internal program leaders and external regulators as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Conduct programmatic or administrative audits as assigned. Draft audit protocols based on regulation, statute, contract condition or other governing rules.
Participate in external audit processes as well as duties related to agency accrediting activities. Summarize findings in reports.
Proficiency in computer skills as you will create and maintain spreadsheets chart progress in completion of assigned tasks, and for tracking and trending relevant data.
Draft agency policy, procedure and protocol in regards to Quality Management.
Supports the Quality Management department in a variety of tasks, including program and administrative audit, licensing and accrediting reviews, and data collection and reporting, as assigned.
YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related experience in conducting and completing investigations preferred.
Knowledge of human services, excellent interpersonal skills, superior writing skills and the ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive/confidential material are strongly desired.
