Develops, modifies, documents and directs the implementation and evaluation of quality assurance programs and systems on one or more mid-size to large projects. Provides expertise and guidance in interpreting quality standards and government regulations. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing to ensure quality standards are in place. Works on moderately complex and diverse problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors.
In this role, applicant must have significant practical experience in the following aerospace commodities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate and coordinate with the engineering and procurement activities to identify and manage strategic suppliers with the goal of providing an uninterrupted supply of conforming material to production and our customers.
Assist with supplier development and maintenance of an active Risk Management Plan.
Drive proactive continuous improvement efforts in supply chain quality and delivery performance.
Ensure supply chain has effective root cause problem solving activities and successful identification of systemic issues and corrective action.
Conduct regular performance reviews with Suppliers.
Participate as needed in the selection, evaluation, quality requirement flow down, monitoring and supplier development activities.
Prepare and provide quality presentations for supplier quality conferences and supplier product improvement teams.

Job Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related discipline and eight or more years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or six or more years with a master's degree. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Additive Manufacturing:
Extensive knowledge and experience with Additive Manufacturing (AM) processes
Experience in maturing AM from R&D to aerospace production applications
Able to assist the supply chain in meeting process and end item requirements
Proficient with mechanical drawings/CAD models/GD&T
Experience with electronic components, electronic component distributors and electronic systems/assemblies is desired.
Must be able to apply a detailed understanding of inspection methods and have strong knowledge in mechanical parts, assemblies. Strong process knowledge as it relates to aeronautical applications.
Must have the analytical ability required to develop creative solutions to complex quality issues and the skills required to present those solutions to internal and external contacts.
Must be detail-oriented to accurately prepare statistical reports and technical documents in support of company objectives.
Must be a strong team leader who works effectively with others, have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and have strong technical skills.
