Position Summary
The Director of our Global Technology Quality Assurance team will lead a team of SDET and QA Testers responsible for executing our testing practices for Under Armour’s Digital Products like UA.com, Under Armour native mobile shopping applications, and MapMyFitness applications.
The Director of Quality Assurance will be a key member of the Global Technology Management & Operations team which includes capabilities such as Program & Project Management, Vendor Management, and IT Cost & Tracking. Our operating model relies on the Technology Management & Operations team as the key enabler to our Global Technology Organization. Our Project Management and Quality Engineering and Qual****Assurance professionals team together to plan and execute work so that our Delivery teams meet Requirements, execute within Timelines and Budgets without sacrificing the Quality of our deliverables. 
As the leader of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for scaling our QA Methodology to project teams and dedicated product delivery teams. In this role you will advocate for our best practices and instill that Quality Assurance starts at the beginning of a project or product lifecycle with the cross functional teams. You must solve business problems by applying strong agile testing principles to our software development lifecycle. A strong automation mindset is preferred to shape our practice for the future and enable the team to scale. The demands of our Global Technology roadmap require a dynamic staffing model; therefore, you will manage our QA Capacity and Resourcing by leveraging strategic partners in the space who will follow our testing methodologies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide leadership to 60 internal and external SDET and QA Testers supporting the development of our Digital Products
Directly manage our QA Manager leadership team, responsible for performance reviews, career development, and mentoring
Evolve our QA strategy and advocate for a shift-left approach to testing, establish processes and empower individuals so that our QA practice can scale across Global Technology
Lead QA team to meet team objectives and specified goals that align to the company’s strategy and Global Technology principles
Own the measurement and KPI metrics for QA objectives and report on metrics that provide insight on quality of solutions to Technology and Business leaders
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Program Management leaders to plan and commit to work in both long-range business plans and short-range program increments
Provide or review time estimates, technical recommendations, and test solutions in business cases
Manage QA Vendors and contracts, including controlling cost, reducing potential risks related to vendors, and ensuring quality of service
Own QA Operating Budget, build annual operating plans and workforce plans with your Human Resource and Finance Business Partners
Assist with recruiting, interviewing and the selection of top talent to help continue to build a world-class QA organization
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Principles of Quality Engineering in Software Development vs. Quality Assurance
Agile processes, bringing together product management, engineer, and quality engineer in a dedicated product team for software development
DevOps processes and how to ensure quality throughout the CI/CD pipeline
Ability to engage at the executive management level by providing proactive support and advice on a variety of software development topics
Superior oral and written communication skills and in particular ability to contribute to the content of steering committees and executive presentations
Education And / Or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in CS/IS/IT and/or 10 years of QA testing experience, including integration, regression, load, and UAT across different domains
6 year(s) experience managing QA teams and direct reports
Experience delivering consumer facing technology with a large user base
Experience working closely with test automation teams and incorporate their capabilities, automation framework, and tools within the overall quality strategy 
Experience managing remote direct reports and off-shore consultants
Experience leading projects with 3rd party vendors and multiple contract agencies
