Job Description Veolia Water Technologies (VWT) is currently seeking a QA Specialist to work in our Whittier Filtration office in Brea, CA.
We are currently seeking a qualified individual to help us respond to emerging opportunities involving the purification of industrial process water. If you are interested in joining a team that is undertaking challenging and important projects and you have a solid, related quality assurance background, we would like to meet you right away.
VWT specializes in water treatment filtration and separation systems for a variety of industrial processes. The Auto-Jet, Filtra-Matic, Autoflot, and Power Clean are some of our proprietary technologies installed in Gold and Silver Mining, Chemical Processing, Food and Beverage, and Oil & Gas plants.
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who understands the manufacturing methods used in building process equipment and the relevant concerns related to quality control and assurance.
Responsibilities:
Reports to: Quality Manager
Communicate via written and verbal means to engage with the client’s inspectors and expeditors and ensure our commitment to the client is honored.
Work directly with our internal Engineering and Project Management department to ensure inspection schedules are met and quality document deliverables are on time and in compliance with project specifications.
Understanding and adherence to the requirements of our ISO9001:2015 Quality System.
Participate in regular status meetings and have all information ready to report to others.
Create inspection reports written succinctly and professionally with photographs of subject inspected items as required.
Initiate NCR’s and follow through to closure.
May be called upon to visit clients or suppliers at their locations anywhere in the world; requires a valid passport with no travel restrictions.
Frequent travel to local California Suppliers.
Qualifications The following is required for this position:
A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in the production of packaged process equipment, preferably for treatment of industrial water streams.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science degree or have equivalent experience in the field described.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
An innate ability to close out task lists, i.e. get things done.
Confidentiality and non-compete agreement.
Ability to plan, multitask, organize, and manage time.
ISO9000 quality system experience
Understanding of the inspection that takes place for the following types of manufacturing processes: structural steel welding and fabrication, steel surface preparation and finishing in accordance with SSPC and NACE, ASME pressure vessels and process piping, plastic piping, control system wiring, and rotating equipment.
Ability to create Inspection and Test Plans that are typical for industrial process equipment.
A valid passport and the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Intermediate level required in: Google Workspace (Docs) or Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Powerpoint).
