The Medicare Advantage Actuarial Model Team is seeking a Software Quality Testing Lead that will be uniquely focused on maintaining and improving testing and overall quality of the actuarial pricing model. The Software Quality Testing Lead will serve as a business leader in coordinating and evaluating the testing of the software products according to the business standards and requirements. The role's work assignments will involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience testing databases and can employ tools and techniques to automate some business testing. The ideal candidate will have the right combination of business skills and technical expertise to effectively design testing strategies that ensure quality while minimizing manual effort and testing redundancy.

Responsibilities

The Lead, Software Quality Testing isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes. Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Very familiar with the software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications

a Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, or related field

8 or more years of technical experience, preferably in testing databases in Microsoft SQL Server

5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams in software project delivery

Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes

Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements.

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Ability to write SQL scripts to generate test output

Preferred Qualifications

Trained in qTest and can generate reports for quality measurement

Ability to design, manage and measure quality through testing processes

Ability to influence IT and business partners to make testing efficient

Additional Information

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their homes to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Work-At-Home Requirements

WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expenses.

A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.

Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
