Responsibilities

The Software Quality Testing Engineer 1 thoroughly evaluates the software products according to the business standards or function requirements. The Software Quality Testing Engineer 1 work assignments are often straightforward and of moderate complexity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Test Strategy and Planning: Assist the Test Manager with Test Strategy development. Assist Test Manager and Project Managers with testing prioritization. Will communicate to Test Manager and Project Managers any co-dependencies between platforms that need to be in place before testing takes place. Assists with T-5 Transition test planning in the Integrated Master Plan and Integrated Master Schedule.

Communication : Reports testing results and analytics through different tools and reporting systems (qTest, ServiceNow, Azure Dev Ops, etc.). Briefs the Risk and Test Lead and Project Managers on UAT/PPV results. Attend PPV and other test sessions as needed.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Post-Production Validation (PPV): Attends story pre-grooming and grooming sessions for all assigned platforms. Understands enhancements being developed and interviews business users to ensure end requirements. Conducts UAT and documents results, tracks defects, and briefs Risk & Test Lead. Conducts PPV and documents results, tracks defects, and briefs Risk & Test Lead.

Required Qualifications

Our Department of Defense Contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position.

Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (eQIP - Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing)

Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training/experience

Less than 3 years of experience with UAT, SIT and IT project testing

Experience with isolating, reproducing, and tracking defects and verifying fixes

Experience with developing test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification

Project management experience

Work at Home/Remote Requirements

Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings

Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
