Job
Summary
CBRE|HEERY is looking for a
Superintendent- Construction QC Inspector to assist our project team on a
GSA/Federal project in Woodlawn, MD.
The
Superintendent- Construction Inspector is responsible to
perform
quality assurance inspections on ongoing renovation, alteration, and repair
projects to verify workmanship, materials, and equipment are in compliance with
the contract drawings and specifications.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities
Maintain inspection records.
Maintain a list of deficiencies and omissions.
Review contractor’s as-built drawings.
Plan and Coordinate inspections.
Review contractor’s pay applications for accuracy against
work in place.
Continuous coordination of work in
the field, overseeing all work and identifying any conflicts between contract
documents, owner's intentions and field conditions.
Reviews and analyzes shop drawings,
contract documents and as-built drawing.
Supervisory
Responsibilities
No formal supervisory
responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as
technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers.
Education
and Experience
Bachelor's degree or university
program certificate OR minimum ten years related experience or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
10
years of experience providing construction oversight and inspection for the
installation and/or replacement of mechanical systems including HVAC, Cooling
Towers, VAV boxes, and BAS controls.
Must have knowledge of construction workmanship, materials,
and equipment installed by construction contractors, preferably on Government
projects.
Certificates
and/or Licenses
Preferred- an active HSPD-12 clearance or one that has been
active within the last five (5) years.
Communication
Skills
Excellent written and verbal
communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to
provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability
to effectively present information.
Financial
Knowledge
Requires knowledge of financial
terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as
percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
