Responsibilities

The Software Quality Testing Engineer 1 isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes. Develops test cases from requirements, needed test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Very familiar with the software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. Understands own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies and operating standards. Makes decisions regarding own work approach/priorities, and follows direction. Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation.

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent application testing experience

Up to 3 years of technical experience

Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes

Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements

Ability to effectively communicate testing effort needs around functional change requirements with operations leaders, IT, and vendors

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and/or 5 years of Pahub operational experience

Operational understanding of Pahub and the Prior Authorization process

Experience with qTest
