JOB SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate will need to have the ability to understand and quickly implement the client / owner’s quality control program and ensure the
General Contractor is executing on this program effectively. This role
will also need to understand the client / owner’s commissioning program
and strategically lead our General Contractor, Electrical Subcontractor, the CxA and integrate with our Operations team to deliver the programs
goals and deliverables.
Roles and Responsibilities
may include the following:
Review and create/update client's
commissioning
documentation based upon new global plan of record designs, new product introductions, and retrofits as required.
Update Cx documentation as required from feedback resulting from all client's
Electrical
Cx Quality Initiatives.
Develop template and conduct monthly Cx Documentation audit reports for projects to ensure compliance to latest versions of Cx Library and review localized site changes to Cx documentation.
Maintain feedback received from Cx Feedback Loop on monthly cadence.
Conduct monthly audits at high volume suppliers to check for factory acceptance testing compliance.
Develop and maintain a roadmap of project-related Cx activities and coordinate with monthly Cx Documentation audit reports
Attend first of a kind factory witness testing as required
and provide detailed summary reports including performance data, key inspection items and Cx Documentation feedback.
Pre-order review with various different
electrical
manufacturers, and adapt existing Cx documentation accordingly.
Conduct Cx documentation audits of project sites to ensure compliance to the latest
versions of client's internal Cx library.
Field inquiries about the use of
commissioning
documentation as well as any processes related to
commissioning
documentation.
Screen and analyze level 4
commissioning
/ functional testing issues discovered that could have been found earlier.
Creation/Update commissioning documents based upon client's Plan of Record designs and/or BIM 360 Field conversion.
Attend MEP equipment pre-order testing events and provide detailed summary reports including performance data, key inspection items and Cx Documentation feedback.
Deliverables
may include:
Large number/volume of
commissioning
documents based upon client's data center plan of record designs as well as additional
commissioning
documents for future designs.
Updated Cx documentation as required from feedback resulting from all client's
electrical
Cx quality initiatives.
Monthly audit reports for high volume suppliers to check for factory acceptance testing compliance.
Deliver four sets of manufacturer specific canonical sets of Cx documentation that align with client's data centers plans of record.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from College or University in a technical
area of study. Minimum (4) four years of electrical construction,
quality control and commissioning project management related experience
and/or training.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and
analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and
courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present
information.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires
advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to
calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and
commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to
solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires
advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand
architectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and
construction practices.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and
business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may
cause short-term impact to department.
